Most of the artists we work with our DIY which I am a massive fan of because I believe you can make a fabulous career as a DIY artist now and until you reach a certain point I really believe that you need support in your career growth or you may need a part-time manager. It can be hard to navigate on your own, keep on top of your business as an artist and progress forward.

But there’s always the question of where do you draw that line of what exactly you need for success. I think that there’s a few aspects that you need to consider and that often comes down to size of the external workload. Listen, we all know that most artists, even a LOT of established artists do a lot more than live as an artist full time. A lot of them have their "main job" or they have a side hustle on top of making music and that's fabulous! It does however take a lot of time away from focusing directly on the music and what you're putting out and you can decide the resources you need.

Sometimes career support, consulting and coaching is exactly what you need for guidance on your next steps, how you get your next gigs, book for yourself and make connections, overcome obstacles both personally and artistically. Sometimes you need all that plus more, to fully take it off your plate and have someone doing the work to get you deals and push you forward. And you might be somewhere in between too!

Check in with yourself and decide what you've been struggling with and what you are doing well with. This can give you a good indication of where to start and what your band may need.

We are lucky to provide both services that we can either give support in the form of group or one-to-one coaching and consulting sessions or we can get more hands-on in the day-to-day management of your band. The key is finding the right person to fit with your band, feeling comfortable with each other and happy to share.
